TroggieI used to think packaged pre-cut veg at the supermarket was for lazy people.
Then a disabled person pointed out it was a lifeline for them because they lived alone and couldnât cut it up themselves most days.
I had never even considered that. It changed my perspective and I think from then on when something seems âlazyâ I always ask myself âis this just accessible?â
And itâs nearly always the latter.
Itâs not hard to listen to someone when they say something is not accessible and itâs not difficult to shift your perspective.
I donât know why so many people wonât.

I do not have a disability, but when I was a mum with very young children I was enormously grateful for automatically opening doors, lifts, ramps etc etc. Who are these people who are ungrateful for improvements that make life easier for lots and lots of people?
