@fonolog "Binnenkort ben jij alles (en iedereen?) vergeten; binnenkort is iedereen jou vergeten". Zoiets? Grieks is moeilijk en lang geleden!
@yogthos I lost track around 1300, but the Deepl automatic translator was able to make sense of all but the last sentence of the story.
Have now learnt 3 ways of saying 'you' in Japanese (あなた, anata, お前, omae, 君, kimi) all to be used in different circumstances. But. They usually just use peoples names. Why all the words? Well, their meanings are like 'my dear,' 'you there,' 'buddy.' But translated as you. It's amazing to learn a language that thinks differently. Gaining new respect for translators.
@aby When I was 39 I started piano lessons, and after 4 years I could play a little. Since then I got ill, neglected the piano, recovered, neglected the piano some more. The pieces I can now play are in the For Children category.

@yvanspijk When I was young and ignorant, I wondered what to call the stuff that goes on a pizza, and opted for "surgredients". It's toppings, I know now.
Wie weet wat de reden is voor dit vertrek? Gedwongen of vrijwillig?
En Ephimenco mag kennelijk haat blijven zaaien daar … #nietMijnTrouw
“Soup of the Day” implies another, possibly more seductive, Soup of the Night.

A woman walks up to a librarian and asks, “Do you have the book on Pavlov’s dogs and Schrödinger’s cat?”

The librarian replies, “It rings a bell, but I don’t know if it’s here or not.”
