I'm the local witch doctor, son. They call me George Alfred Black Now tell me, what's your trouble, boy? My boomerang won't come back!

Hey, I'm not sure if this feedback comes to you. But when I use the mobile browser version (see pic attached) and look at a post in the federated or home timeline when I click back my place in the timeline gets kind of lost.

Which is very annoying when I accidently click back when I want to engage with a post, as it gets lost in the maelstrom of posts.

Gah, I hope that made sense. 😂

The perfect game for in-between #TotK sessions. (Tetris also)

Here are the next five albums from the list I'll be spinning over the next week or so.

Some very interesting listening coming up.

#1001Albums

Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd.

This is a big shift in sound after the last three lo-fi sounding albums. It's an epic sounding record. Shine on you Crazy Diamond (SYD) is a lovely tribute to Syd Barrett who had to leave the band due to mental health problems.

There's a lot less singing compared to The Dark Side of the Moon.

#1001Albums

Patti Smith - Horses.
Three lo-fi albums in a row Young, Dylan and now this.
This is great early grungy proto-punk poet action from 1975. I think that PJ Harvey and Courtney Love were inspired by Smith, I definitely hear it in their delivery and writing styles.

It's a crazy ride.

#1001Albums

Bob Dylan - Blood on Tracks.
If you've never listened to Dylan just grab a brew and strap in for some brilliant stories. The voice is all part of the experience.* Reading up after listening it seems probably inspired by his split from his wife.

Idiot Wind is full of vitriol. I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of that.

*'He felt the heat of the night
hit him like a FREIGHT train!' 💥 #1001Albums

I listened to Neil Young's Tonight's the Night three times on the bounce last night. The sound and lyrics really grabbed me.
Reading up about its creation afterwards explains a melancholy I felt. He was dealing with fame and the death of two friends from drug misuse. Writing and performing the songs in a drunken haze. #1001Albums https://youtu.be/wjluWjyRgoU

The five #1001Albums I shall be listening to this week (in theory, as if an album clicks all bets could be off for the others.). I give them all a good couple of spins and never know if I am about to discover a new favourite album. I'm at 1976 in the 1001 list. Jump in and join me!
