Today I received my author copies of Somewhere Between Heart and Hands, a collection of my poetry. Definitely feels surreal to see work of mine in print.

@redcrew they were a mix, I believe an Alaska mix. They were with the beans and Strawberries.
@redcrew I had success with them last year, but this year I've only had one or two come up. They do seem to be a bit unreliable, which is a shame as they are so useful for intercropping, and beautiful too.
@richrollgardener good to know. As well as like a tomato feed, or instead of?
@johnefrancis sounds useful. Might do that with leftovers after using it for tomatoes.

Finally got the burn barrel out today (two dry days in a row for the first time since 1998 it seems).

Hit me with your best uses for wood ash!

Then back to the #Allotment to weed this section, home to some brave strawberry plants.

Slow going, but I'm gradually getting the beds clear...

Trip to Bootsies Nursery on the A1 near Biggleswade today with my son. Great family-run local business, and came away with all this! Turns out it's not just me that gets excited by a nursery!

On the way home, stopped by a landscaper who has these amazing dinosaur sculptures out by the road. Used to see them on my commute, and knew I had to take my dinosaur-obsessed son!
