Over 6.5 Strava years, I have averaged 7.35mi/run, more than 10km. So for each 1mi dog walk, somewhere I did a half marathon. I’ve probably also climbed around 1 million feet of vert.
I’m not faster than 6 years ago, and my weight is similar, but I’ve traded fat for muscle. And my resting heart rate is about 10 beats lower at 43-45bpm.. clinically bradycardia. Ultra running has been a fabulous hobby, and will be a joyous part of my 50s.
