@researchfairy @OtterMatic I think there are only a tiny fraction of artists (fewer than 1 in a thousand) who have significant wealth as the result of creativity. For perhaps another 10%, it's a few hundred dollars a year at best and for the vast majority, less than that. A typical plumber is many times as likely to have an estate to leave their children than the typical artistic creator.

@researchfairy I'm torn on this. There are families it will legitimately offer some protection to, though in majority it helps only massive corporations with staff lawyers to enforce it. On the other hand, how much does the public deserve to be able to profit off the work of dead creators while their children and grandchildren might be alive?

@MurderDeathHug I've been sitting here for five minutes trying to figure out a response. I felt like part if ought to involve "why should you change," but decided if you know you can change, then probably my best answer would be what do you wish was different about yourself? Personally, I wish I was more active, but I seem incapable of that change.
