Chronic doom-scroller, but I'm trying to get better.
You know what? Nancy Pelosi may be an old pistol, but she outlasted all these fools in the House.

Guys, can you commit any crime you want at work? Our Supreme Court wants to know, for a friend. Elon Musk has suggested doing a poll.

Texas is banning Kate Cox from getting a life saving abortion—claiming her fetus has rights.

Simultaneously Texas is fighting a lawsuit by a prison guard who was 7 mo pregnant, had pains, was denied a break, & the fetus was stillborn—arguing a fetus has no rights.

It was Never about life. It was always about control of women.

Vote the GOP out.

Sometimes our march toward complete fascism will be silent. Pay attention to the silences. Following the harrowing forced-birth example of Kate Cox in Texas, there were several important silences to pay attention too:
1. The hospitals in which the doctor had admitting privileges. Do they intend to protect their doctors and patients, or are their private equity overlords too concerned about losing money on legal costs and state financing?
2. Dr. Karsan herself. This is an important silence. No one should expect the doctor to speak out if her admitting hospitals will not protect her. Couple that with the vigilante nature of Texas justice and the level of gun ownership, Dr. Karsan's silence is emblematic of the future roles of professionals and experts in our society. But what are we patients if our doctors cannot speak out on our behalves?
3. National level opposition party statements. There are none. I see Senator Tammy Duckworth has issued a statement, but what about the DNC? Are there ads on television against forced birth they are funding? This silence is probably related to why we never had Roe V. Wade codified when Democrats were the majority, and why we still only have 9 justices on SCOTUS.

I realize that last point will raise contentions, and maybe time will prove me wrong. All I want to say is to pay attention to the silences - they are important.

Go on, Republicans. Keep baselessly attacking Taylor Swift because she’s a successful woman. See how that goes for you.
If it bothers you that they used to sacrifice virgins, it might help to consider that they'd start with the eldest. The first into the volcano would be that 30 year old still living in his mom's basement who blames all his problems on feminism.

Republicans take Russian money.

"While American Ethane was run in 2018 by American John Houghtaling, 88 percent of the firm was owned by three Russian nationals—Konstantin Nikolaev, Mikhail Yuriev, and Andrey Kunatbaev."
