I was going through some photos last night and found this one of a pigeon on the San Antonio River Walk circa May 2016.

He followed me for a while and walked next to me, probably hoping I would drop some food by accident!

Officials are baffled at the discovery of what some are calling "The Blanket Kitty." Veterinarians and other life science experts have been asked to weigh in on the unknown cat, first reported Saturday in Detroit.

"The cat and the blanket appear to be one single lifeform on the kitchen cabinets," said an evolutionary biologist familiar with the story. "There just isn't a category for this in science; we don't know where the blanket ends and the cat begins."

You can slightly see Hawk's facial injury from a previous life. The Michigan Humane Society performed three surgeries on him before I was able to adopt him. I tell Hawk every day this is his forever home (and that the kitchen cabinets belong to him!).

At the end of every day, I set the small food scoop out for Hawk before I wash it again for tomorrow. It's the equivalent of "licking the plate" I suppose.

Me Quickly Interjecting: "But very cuddly and cute, lots of snuggles with that little guy!"
