finished listening Hollow Knight: Silksong (OST Sample) 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕
Very small sampler, only 2 songs long, but having completed the game, in my opinion, it gives a good idea of what type of musics to expect from the game without giving away too much.

Pretty good imo.

Story overall isn't anything groundbreaking, but it could balance pretty well drama/suspense, humor/levity, gorgeous shots that help giving a scale of what's happening, and a soundtrack that is there as needed. Also thanks to this visual/environmental storytelling, the movie doesn't need to say much to tell the story.

Still, #SuzumeNoTojimari feels a bit more rushed on the second half. And even if it doesn't sour the experience, it lowers my score for it into a solid 8/10.

Would want to comment some more things, but with the lack of spoiler tagging in NeoDB, Idk how to do so. Also it gives a very slight feeling of watching #TheGirlWhoLeaptThroughTime, even if the scope of the two movies is way different.

And lastly, for the ownership folk, I can confirm the release with SKU FG-10962 comes with both #BD and #DVD! =D

Sadly no DRM-free download though.

finished playing Samurai Aces 🌕🌕🌕🌑🌑
Played the delisted Steam version of #SamuraiAces, appid 1261980 since I don't know if it had any other delisted versions.

It's overly hectic even for a #shmup, or at least the ones I'd seen yet, so patience may be needed with this one. Or, if you got a version that can be emulated, or even whose ROM can be built from the game files, abusing save states would be a good idea too (though patience is still advised).

Story is as basic as an arcade game from Psikyo gets from the few I saw so far, so not much to say on that front.

Music, art, enemy variety and stage progression do the job, I guess, but I was too busy trying not to die to pay deep attention to those hehe

Still overall, it was fine, feeling like a 6/10.

It was an interesting watch.

Story-wise, rather cryptic, and some elements are left to interpretation, though in a good sense.

On tone, not very familiar with noir, so unsure how it compares to others, but at least imo, it was well executed.

On animation/art, characters have a bit exaggerated proportions, like they're out of a comic book, but nothing that the watcher can't get used with. And in the mecha sections, they do feel like building-tall metal objects, instead of being animated slideshows as mechas usually are.

On sound direction, it is minimalist but effective - not many musics but played when needed without getting old, mechas' sounds also do seem like a machinery's, and the English dub is great for the noir tone.

There's a bit of humor, but rarely overplayed, being mostly a comic relief.
