I mean just because you can resist fascism even after the fascists have taken over your society and twisted all of its systems towards its authoritarian goals (in so much as twisting is required; this has been a fascist police state longer than Trump has been on my TV, it just ain't been a dictatorship) doesn't mean you want to have to play the game that way. And what about smart phones, driving licences, car registration numbers, car insurance, passports, NHS numbers, utility bills, voter registration records, police records, library memberships, HMRC tax records . . .
All of these are digital records, and the Government has access to everything, given a court order.
Now, tell me exactly what the problem is with digital IDs.
Oh, BTW - the biggest offender to your privacy is your mobile phone - and everything you carelessly click . . .
