Been outside touchin' grass while the weather is good.
Also finished up a project to make Picross/Nonograms a ton easier with GIMP.
Here's a screenshot below!
I generate the puzzle on my puzzle layer, the color layer is my "win condition" and I run this through a custom Python app I built to generate my puzzle so I can send it off.
Docking station inspired by the John Lithgow movie "2010: The Year We Make Contact".
The Bridge.
Writing more nonograms (Picross) puzzles.
I used to make these daily for my wife but ran out of steam at a point / lost the source / lost the drive to make them.
With the desire to always have some sort of development project on the burner this is v0.5 of my entirely rendered as an SVG version of the game. My previous was all html!
I'll get back to ascii art soon I promise!
One of my favorite DOS point and clicks was a game by the name of Gobliiins (yes 3 i's! Each represents a character you control)
The animation was incredibly fluid, the puzzles were funny and overall the game was just a blast to lose at. I didn't beat it until decades later.
I know I'm mostly here doing ascii art but I really would recommend giving the first Gobliiins a play through. It's tough but the losing animations are hilarious at times.
A friendly hello.
