Usually when I'm working in London it is in Mayfair. This time I was in a another part of the Big Smoke so couldn't pass by the opportunity to pop into the Barbican Centre for a quick brutalist fix!

‘Dismembering’ author Sarah Williams left hand and placing it on her shoulder in a different part of the 'scene' was a lot of fun as was working with Sarah.

Thanks to CrimeFest for choosing the image as the best Crime Author picture of the year at their recent festival where "the pen is bloodier than the sword".

I don't think I appreciated enough the space of thought when I lived by the sea.

However it now makes me happy when being back on a coastline as it now seems an even better tonic for the mind.

I enjoy that my job and passion gives me the freedom to go back more often than not.
