This is just the most embarrassing possible conclusion to the POEC. Yes, there was a legitimate national emergency, but it was caused by finger-pointing, do-nothing leaders in Ottawa City Hall, Queens Park, and the federal Cabinet.

The “emergency” Canada faces is the mediocrity of its politicians. It’s a damning comment on our culture.
