panoramixDichronauts, by Greg Egan. Nothing wrong with his imagination that's for sure. I still haven't figured out how gravity and navigation works in this world. The symbiosis(?) between two sentient species is also really interesting.

KrisB@idrmfree Overall I enjoyed Americanah. I disliked many of the characters, including the main character. I felt like many of the characters had no free will and were puzzle pieces that the author had to shuffle around to make this or that point.
However the book had a lot of great ideas, and it was refreshing to see things from a different perspective. The situations were believable and authentic, even if it sometimes felt implausible that they could all happen to the same person.
