A Tesla employee who worshipped Musk died in a fiery crash on a road trip in which he relied heavily on Tesla's "full self-driving technology." Tesla has never publicly acknowledged his death and quickly replaced him. His widow says she now feels like "we were just guinea pigs."

Tesla employee in fiery crash may be first ‘Full Self-Driving’ death

Hans von Ohain, a Tesla employee, died in a crash in 2022 when his Model 3 suddenly veered off the road.

The Washington Post

I followed up on death threats to Colorado Secretary of State #JenaGriswold after reading @foser article on how the media is disconnected from threats to judges & election officials.
Still no arrests on her #Swatting attempt from over a month ago.

Her request for more funding for security for her office was rejected.

There were 2 arrests from earlier threats. One led to 2 years probation the other 18 months in prison.
When threats aren't seriously prosecuted it sends a message, Keep doing it!

The New York Times leads the paper today with a slip of the tongue by Biden. Meanwhile, Trump declared that Jan. 6 was an insurrection organized by Nancy Pelosi, but apparently that isn’t worth reporting.

Meta is downranking/hiding political content on Threads. The company says Threads will “not recommend any content/accounts that post about politics.”

Here’s the issue: what counts as “politics” is often any news abt people who have had their whole existence politicized, such as news about Black people, LGBTQ people, disabled ppl, women, etc. Climate scientists, public health experts etc also considered “political” https://www.axios.com/2024/02/09/meta-political-content-moderation-threads

@[email protected] Hello and welcome!
@roadriverrail @Daojoan This is something I think about and have really tried to work on being conscious of more over the last 20 years, and I have to say this particular framing really resonates with me in a profound way. I appreciate you sharing that.
@celiason As a daily player of this game, this is the best description and analysis of Connections I've ever seen.
@joleenbothma As someone just now starting to work in PowerBI this is really helpful advice and something I will definitely be thinking about and taking into account.

❌ One of the biggest mistakes I made when I first started building #PowerBI reports:

I only used charts and colors that I thought looked cool.

👇 Do this instead

@shinmera I deleted my Bluesky account this week rather than argue with someone. Does that count?
