On July 5, 1852, Frederick Douglass delivered his greatest speech, "What to the Slave is the 4th of July?" Resonating with principles of freedom & equality, this speech was a powerful indictment of American hypocrisy & moral decay, as a nation simultaneously celebrated freedom while it enslaved millions. He compelled white Americans to confront the inherent moral contradictions in their society or face dire consequences.

@georgetakei the pro-life kid is such a tool… completely disregarding the role of men in intercourse. In his small religious patriarchal brain, women are always to blame & should be forced to bear a child because they “sleep around”. Trudeau did well.

The problem with a Trump indictment is that Trump’s white supremacist following loves an unscrupulous rich white gangster. Their faith and support will be renewed.

@alexwinter That’s what I’ve been saying. People who stayed on Twitter apparently don’t understand capitalism. They say they are there to raise hell & fight the far right, but they’re just enriching Elon & playing his game.
