Going to stick my neck out & say the Tories wonât, in fact, pass laws ensuring asylum seekers who come to the UK âillegallyâ are âdetained & swiftly removedâ, but they will whip up yet more of the hatred that has already inspired far right terrorism.
The reason I say this is that âswiftly removingâ all who arrive âillegallyâ would mean withdrawing from the Refugee Convention & ECHR. If Sunak intended that, thatâd be enormous news which heâd surely have mentioned today.
