@cshentrup @GuerillaGrue @QasimRashid None of this shit happens in a vaccuum. Looking at it through your economics tube, you're ignoring the entire context of an exploitative corrupt system and the pressures the domineering hegemony puts on people through a huge spectrum of tactics from manufactured consent powered by billions in propaganda to straight-up direct armed force. And anyone who has enough of a moral compass to dare to "have emotions" about any of this, you dismiss and insult as if totally disregarding morals is a mark of superior character.
Wage slavery is "not slavery" the same way your asshole brother is "noooot touuuuchiiiiing youuuuuuuuuuuu" but that brother has grown up into Big Brother and crowdsourced the abuse to a handful of price-fixing, government-buying corporations that spread out the coercion just far enough to maintain a veneer of plausible deniability so they can gaslight an entire population into believing they're "free" and have nothing and nobody to ever blame even a little bit but themselves. Like an abusive boyfriend saying "she can leave whenever she wants" on an industrial scale.
This precious neoliberal economics of yours inevitably devolves into nothing but corporate feudalism. And it's going to get most of us killed.
