Free thinker, mostly rational. Almost-but-not-quite-Renaissance Man. I like nice people. But I’m not above being a jerk to asshats. #nobots
@novaobserver I’ll admit to having lost interest in social platforming after deleting the mother of all social platforms. This was nice for a while, but once I realized that I didn’t miss the whole post-respond-post-respond way of sharing info, I just sort of waded away. Nothing personal towards anyone, of course 😆
Well look at that! Working together toward a common goal DOES work. Never mind that a certain Majority leader held out so the infighting in his precious party wouldn’t be seen by the masses. Nice work Senators. Finally.

‘It got a little heated’: GOP infighting almost killed criminal justice reform — POLITICO

Even with Trump’s support, a split among Senate Republicans nearly tanked the bipartisan bill.

I’m concerned at how over-the-top the msnbc anchors are with their excitement—I wouldn’t want any of them to burst a blood vessel while entreating their viewers to vote vote vote vote. 😂🤪
I’m pleasantly surprised that the decimation and destruction from the recent Tax “reform” legislation is happening much sooner than expected. I thought we’d have to wait at least 12-18 months to credibly say “told ya so.”

What We Know -- And Don't Know -- About The Kavanaugh Ethics Investigation — Forbes Magazine

The judiciary continues to suffer reputational damage as a result of Judge Kavanaugh's partisan remarks to the Senate Judiciary Committee on September 27.

If only we could get back to being a civilized society, this article would be spot-on. Alas...

Superior ruthlessness isn’t why Republicans control the Supreme Court — Vox

They had some good luck — and, most importantly, they had the votes.

The only issue I have with Begala’s take is when he says McConnell has been at this for several years. Wrong. It’s been much, much longer. He even wrote a book about it. But it’s nice that someone in mainstream media has decided to say something definitive. Finally.

Mitch McConnell has done grave damage to all three branches of government — CNN

The Senate majority leader has delegitimized the presidency, the Senate and the Supreme Court with a vitriolic virus of hyperpartisanship, Paul Begala says. One wonders how they will ever recover.
