The key to my ham success is Iambic and Straight. The waterfalls I frequent don't have a drop of water to them. I've put more miles on a VFO than any vehicle I've ever owned. @n6utc Thanks, Endaf!! So excited to be back. Maybe get to meet up with you sometime in the near future. Looking forward to some western satellite passes 📡🛰️ 😁
@wd9ewk Congratulations, Patrick!!
@wd9ewk what a bummer as roving will be less fun now losing those birds. Looking forward to the next round of Tevels!
@wd9ewk @kj7dz Always great to see someone else step across the 488 finish line! Congratulations, Frank!
@n6utc Goonies!!!
@croyle It is PLA and Infill was at 100%. Layer height was .12mm. I sure like and prefer the hard rails and 3D printed over metal.
@croyle I will ask him when he gets home from school. I know nothing about 3D printers but I will certainly ask and let you know.
A few months back or so, I dropped my twin 818’s that I use for portable satellite operation. The silver rails saved my radios but the sacrificial rails did as they should. They saved my radios from direct contact with the pavement when dropped, but one of the rails cracked. My nephew (KJ7MPQ) 3D printed me another set and they are even more robust. The twins will be sporting the new rails once we get back home.
@croyle I am down to two states needed for POTA WAS. North Dakota and Idaho.
@WY7AA @N6UA @wd9ewk @n6utc Congratulations, R.J. and what great news! When I saw Doug was out that way, I knew this post was right around the corner. You have given so much to the satellite community, I could not be happier.
