The FBI has confirmed that North Korean hackers orchestrated the biggest cryptocurrency theft ever, stealing $1.5 billion from the Bybit exchange.
Hackers managed to breach a secure Ethereum wallet in a matter of minutes, moving over 400,000 ETH to undisclosed blockchain addresses.
Investigators have traced the attack to the Lazarus Group, a North Korean cybercrime syndicate known for high-profile financial breaches.
Despite the incident, Bybit assures its users that their funds are secure.
