It's all in the name...
Okay now that cross Mastodon and Bluesky posting with Linky is confirmed you should see more of me. I’ve been selectively posting between three networks and it’s exhausting this will help.

@Furball yes!

@brad
I second the suggestion for hosta plants. They can be pricey, but they thrive in mostly shade conditions, get pretty purple blooms on long stocks that honey bees and hummingbirds love. Highly recommend because (mine at least) come back each year after a snow filled winter so low maintenance with high value after initial cost.

A reminder, as we head into June, that #ACAB and there is No #Pride in Policing. Don't invite or welcome cops to your events until they stop killing us.

So since I've been away ther had been a new crop of bots set loose ...I have neither the time or patience to deal with trying to block them all right now so my feed is basically fucked

Good times 😑

Well it's been a hot minute... So much so that I loaded up the "official" Mastodon app, got really fucking confused and pissed off with the stupid interface until I realized my mistake. Like I had no idea how drastically different some of these 3rd party Masto apps are until now. Will not be making that mistake again. I will be uninstalling the official app and keep to Fedilab for the foreseeable future.

Stop thinking of Twitter, TikTok, IG, (et al) as social media sites.

They are **Content Refineries.**

Like processed food manufacturers they take user content & extract the most addicting/engaging content. Brains eat it up but in an unhealthy “devour the whole bag of chips” way.

They make hyper-processed social media junk food.

Mastodon is more like a potluck. We're all bringing dishes. It's a mess. Kids are running all over. But we are, at least, real people sharing real things.

There's one thing that I get the sense almost nobody understands, and understanding it makes virtually all human communication infinitely easier and smoother, and it's the fact that other people devote barely any thought to the things you spend most of your time thinking about
