When my daughter was 7 she wanted to make a game a kid could play without having to pay money for things in the game or constantly having to view ads. Bird Runner was born. We wanted to share the game. She's 12 now. I hope you (might) enjoy it (or at least don't hate it). #WPF #dotnet #csharp

(she used Paint.NET by Rick Brewster to create some of the characters.. my personal favorite is our duck, Mr. Quackers).

Wrote a #VT52 control in #WPF . Even added a optional green phosphor effect with scan lines.

The 14th gen Core i9 processors are such a dumpster fire. I know that the Intel tuning utility has reset my settings when my #dotnet programs start crashing with memory access exceptions (Visual Studio and Rider will also start crashing).

I lower the voltage, exceptions go away, apps become stable again. I've applied all the microcode updates meant to fix this, no luck. It's just a lemon.

My work makes me put in a comment when I put into for PTO and this is always what I say.

Really digging Visual Studio 2026 so far. It inspired me to write an extension for it tonight for something that I've wanted for a while, simple in document links in code files so I can create a table of contents at the top for the things I always go to. "//@Thing" would navigate to "//#Thing" (or "<!-- @thing -->" would go to "<!-- #Thing -->").

I started with C# and XAML to trial it.

AI, it's the wrong way, only faster.
