Ever feel tired and depressed and decide to eat an entire orange and bag of kettle corn. That is me right now.

Right... (deep breath)

We *need* community-owned decentralised social networks. The Fediverse is the only place where this exists.

Centralised corporate social networks are easier to use because of investors' money, but these same investors demand ever-larger profits by spying on users, manipulating feeds and encouraging toxic engagement.

The Fediverse is trickier to use because it is decentralised and community-owned, but that's also what protects it from being bought out and enshittifying.

I tried to use an old Jadoo3 today. Could not for the life of me find a monitor that had HDMI. Why can't the Jadoo have a proper display port like DisplayPort.
Hot takes with Maaz will have to be temporarily cancelled while I get sleep. Tune tomorrow for more hot takes. Actually here are some free ones. PR > Ranked Choice > FPTP. Trains > Bikes > Boats > Cars. C++ < C (technically always true).
I am a bit torn on the last seat of the BC election up for grabs. The NDP lead by 27 votes in the riding of Surrey-Guildford with Cons close on their heels. If the NDP win the seat, they have a majority government and we get normal NDP policies which is great. I don't want the Cons to have any sort of power. But on the other hand if the NDP don't form a majority it will force them to collaborate and appeal to the Greens. The Cons gaining a seat just gives influence to the Greens. Fuck FPTP.
and I always plan to actually start my work at 19:00 but then eventually it turns 19:00 and I am still too tired to do the work. Maybe I should start napping in the afternoons but last time I tried it didn't go well (I overslept into the next day and didn't do any work).
I hate this constant cycle of not being able to get work done because I am tired but not being able to get any sleep because I have too much work to do. I can't stay up to my work because I tire out and fall asleep and I can't get any sleep because I if I fall asleep I don't get my work done. The main problem really is spending too much time procrastinating in the afternoon. I come back from work and my immediate instinct is to try chill for a couple hours to feign off the tiredness.
I wish they would provide a goddamn detour. The "bridge" that they are replacing is like 4ft wide and goes over a man made stream. The stream ends 40ft to right of the bridge. If they didn't fence off the entire area to keep me out I could've just simply jumped across the stream or walked the 40ft detour. They could even put some planks down for a temporary bridge. The city seems to think everybody who uses trails are recreational users and they can just close them down randomly for a month.
