@neustradamus Thank you for the post. I have already seen the libreboot.org link you posted. The problem is it is terribly written due to how it does not sequentially flow. If this content was written using sequential steps it will help a beginner like me. Please let me know if you know of any video or easy to follow written material that sequentially explains how to inject vendor files into a Libreboot ROM file for a Dell 3050 SFF PC. Thank you for your time. #libreboot
@evgandr Thnx for the steps. I wish the 3050 Libreboot.org online material was sequentially in steps and not links. Ideally, it would be great if a YouTuber like LinusTech created a video on how to Libreboot a Dell 3050 using the internal flashing approach and not external approach. Until then I need to spend many more hours reading the badly written 3050 Libreboot.org instructional material to understand how to perform this task in the correct sequence using the correct commands. #libreboot
@ricardo I'm using my 3050 as a server running Ubuntu Server OS. For security reasons I want to neuter the Intel Active Managment Tech (AMT) on my 3050. From what I understand Libreboot disables the AMT. I am seeking to define sequential steps to libreboot my 3050 because the 3050 instructional material at Libreboot.org is hard to follow in how it is not sequentially written. Instead it uses too many links that make it hard to understand the details existing behind the big picture. #libreboot

@athousandcateaus Thank you for the advice. I have already tried reddit/r/libreboot. Not a fan of it because Reddit uses a filter robot that prevents free interchange of ideas. My Reddit Libreboot post asking for help on how to Libreboot a Dell 3050 got deleted by this filter robot. Turned out to be a waste of time.

I will try libra.chat after I figure it out because I have never used IRC. Thnx for the tip to add #libreboot to my post.

@athousandcateaus Thnx. I am new to Mastodon.
I think the jumper you refer to is shown in photo. Steps as I understand.
1). Make a backup of OEM BIOS using CH341A device.
2). Change blue jumper to enable internal flashing.
3). Internally inject vendor files. (Not clear how to do this yet).
4). Internally flash Dell 3050 Libreboot ROM I got from MIT.edu mirror website. 5). Boot up PC and hope for the best. #libreboot

Is FlashROM used for internal flashing? How is FlashROM used on 3050 PC?

I need a tutorial on how to Libreboot a Dell 3050 SFF PC. I have downloaded the ROM and was ready to flash the BIOS chip but I have not done so yet because I do not understand the process of injecting vendor files onto the ROM tarballs mentioned in the Libreboot website guide. How is this task performed? Is it done after the ROM has already been flashed to the BIOS chip? Is it done internally or externally using a CH341programmer? Where do I find a list for such vendor files? #libreboot

@evgandr I am using a CH341 v1.6 Programmer together with an app called "NeoProgrammer". I am able to adjust the voltage on my device.
