Yay! “Shift Happens” arrived a couple days ago, and the packing was undersold; this thing could survive rogue asteroid hits. No unboxing pictures, but I did come across some interesting typewriters and computers in the Musée Des Arts et Metiers in Paris over Christmas that felt very @mwichary inspired, including the little French item in the photo. #ShiftHappens

I can't hold it in any more. iOS-style error dialogs on macOS are terrible:

- They're sized for an iPhone screen. *stares in ultra-wide*
- The text is bolded and center-justified. Stylistically questionable, and unreadable to boot.
- Semi-transparency means it picks up the hues of the desktop background, and looks especially poor in this case.

I really want to know how this design ever made it past the mockup phase, never mind got shipped...

Finally got around to a #Marchintosh post... some bits of flotsam and jetsam: Mac OS X Public Beta, ancient THINK C install disks (on double-density floppies, no less!) and sadly, all that remains of my PowerComputing clone. Also, Team Rainbow Apple Logo forever.
