I've been a part of r/datahoarders for years now and the discord server the-eye
recently reddit was sensoring them putting up the magnets to torrent these files.
They kept reposting and fighting reddit, then the DOJ website would drop the links too so it's been a battle for them to get these things locally.
That's what made them make the switch and come over to the fediverse and lemmy so lets give them a warm welcome and thank them for all the work they do
