Big shoutout to @Nigma for not only writing the script and narrating the "What is Mastodon?" video but also sifting through 279 reddit comments on /r/videos and correcting people's nuclear hot takes

I am not sure if it will make it into /r/all or not, a part of me wants to see that, another part of me (and I'm sure a lot of old users agree!) thinks that would be too much of a good thing in such a short time.

On the other hand, you can't really pace publicity. It's a wave, a constellation of circumstances. It either happens or it doesn't, and if decentralization is to win over the silos, we need as many people aware of it as possible. So 🤷‍♂️

@Gargron In the AskReddit thread "what was ruined because too many people started doing it?" the answer I upvoted was "Everything." My reply began "The Internet, by being as centralized as it is, have made things easier to ruin in this way. There are now two categories of any endeavor: undiscovered and struggling, or overexposed and successful." If we can't cure unlimited growth, then I hope we can at least break things down into manageable pieces.
