Had a chat with someone who has more experience than me in gamedev things and events and... Was a bit depressing to be told I need to choose an audience first and then design a game for them, instead of finding an audience for my game ideas. I don't think he's strictly right but like... He has more experience and that is the prevailing wisdom.

This is kind of the reason I never want to be full-time creative. The prevailing wisdom is literally incompatible with how I create.
