#smartdoors, #gender and #diversity - a new set of 6 installed at work so I had to set up the user database. user profile requires title (Mr, Ms, Mx) or audit reports do not look good/don't index properly (designed in another EU country where titles are more of a thing)

Office staff could only give me list of users from birthdays list as HR database not 100% updated.

So I said "everyone is either Mr or Ms, a *door* does not care if you are married or not. And shared key is "*Mx* duty nurse"😉

@vfrmedia Had a particularly insistante project manager once that firmly believed that gender neutral language was integral part of our internal code documentation of an andriod app. So i guess both ends have gotten it wrong somehow xD

@gilgwath the strange thing is the software doesn't care what the titles/gender actually are -but if you leave that field blanco exports and reports do not line up (the "missing" entry is wrongly formatted).

In fact I have an "alt" key in the name of Dr Ahmed Problembär that I use for testing the locks with (as there is no one else who would normally use that name 😆 🐻 )
