Too many trees between my house and the nearest wireless tower for the local #ISP that doesn't suck. So I'm stuck with #CenturyLink for a while longer. #CalyxInstitute is starting to look like the most viable alternative, but I worry about that being less reliable than the DSL I have now.

I wish we had a municipal ISP as an alternative.

Perhaps I should investigate a dual-WAN router and kludge together a WIFI-to-ethernet bridge for an #LTE device.

It may be simpler than I expected - I'm running #openwrt on a 2-radio device, so I can make one radio be a client of the LTE-to-WiFI hotspot, and then use #mwan3 to load balance the two upstream connections.
