@tbm I picked up a pack during a black friday sale. It's a well made product, but @ 902MHz it's range in urban (& suburban) areas can leave a lot to be desired (it's approx. the same frequency as mid-nineties portable home phones).

Also, the default app is limited to GPS coordinates and text-only messaging. They have an SDK available, but I haven't had time to play with it yet.

FW update scheduled for "early next year" promise improvements.
