I'm a bookseller and writer, in-between publishers and busy writing my third novel - also busy with what might become an important non-fiction project.

@Alisca Somewhere along the line, yes - even though Chris' stage surname is 'de Burgh', it's from his mother's side; our family shares the same coat of arms, and among many other things, the same old castle in Ireland, where we were landowners. :)

@Alisca Exactly that, broadly speaking! ;) We came over to England after William the Conqueror returned from France, became Anglicised as Burkes or De Burkes, and eventually became de Burgh's. Had a couple of run-ins with dodgy monarchs along the way... I'm one of two de Burgh's in South Africa. :)
