Splitting spells into the following categories for now:
Attack
Hindrances (debuff)
Enhancements
Utility
Travel
Divination

@Canageek Attack spell ideas:
Single target (Magic missile like.)
Area attack (Fireball)
Line attack (Lightning bolt)
Cone Attack (Burning Hands)

Anything with more complex targeting will need miniatures.

Nothing with a straight die penalty. Avoid lots of math on each roll.

Blindness
Deafness
Disarm
Remove Invisibility
Web?
Grease?
Remove Magic (Dispel Magic?

Flaming Weapon (add dice of fire damage)
Magic Weapon (let you hit ghosts and such)
Holy Weapon (magic weapon, but also extra damage to demons and undead)
Lighten Armour (let the fighter keep up with the rogue)
Invisibility

@Canageek So those are all ideas for spells for the RPG I'm working on. I want to avoid the buff tax 3e had, where wizards basically existed to cast buff and save or suck spells. So I've focused on a few attack spells, which I'll probably expand, and a lot of cool spells that you can use creatively.
