@Leonore5506 That's a dark and depressing way to put it but at the same time I find it difficult to draft a counter-argument.
@theartguy Well it's both: "it's the best of times, it's the worst of times" says it all, really. We live in an era with the most options for the most people if you average indicators globally. Highest mean life expectancy, violent deaths etc. But also the era closest to destruction, the Doomsday clock is almost striking 12. I'm generally more positive in my views than appears in my comments...
