"You want to prevent white supremacist fascism from organizing hate crimes and infiltrating government positions? YOU'RE the REAL Nazi!"

-- so, so, so many fucking shitheads

I'm not sure how clueless one has to be to ignore the end game of actual white supremacists, but it's depressingly common.

@sydneyfalk You're entirely right, but I beg you to drop the whole SQW/SJW tribalism thing, it's counterproductive. Neither acronym is any less disingenuous and serves to further dilute any rational thought in a situation that desperately needs it. It is that entire paradigm that feeds idiots who want to be contrarian as fuck, and eventually serves to support the goals of the actual-not-kidding-goose-stepping-Nazis and white supremacists.

@VacuumForest

> eventually serves to support the goals of Nazis and white supremacists.

This is a new one. Identifying elements in the status quo effectively support fascism will somehow encourage fascism? How?

Denial is how we got into this shitty mess, not critical analysis, IMO.

> rational thought

If rational thought is so fragile that it is disrupted by identifying elements of political positions, it's not rational thought, IMO.

@sydneyfalk What my line of thought comes down to is that if you give them a banner to stand under, they'll wave it in your face. They're more interested on standing on a side than what's behind their line. You yourself said that the arguments made are disingenuous. If they're arguing for the status quo, do they even understand what the status quo is at the moment?

@VacuumForest

I said ALL arguments are disingenuous to a degree.

> If they're arguing for the status quo, do they even understand what the status quo is at the moment?

If they don't realize they're arguing for a status quo, then how will they ever ask that question in the first place, and potentially seek the answer?
