Hey, I'm looking for fonts which are dyslexic friendly (wording, early morning brain grogginess). Any tips?

I know comic sans is one, but since people tend to abhor that one, other recommendations are welcome!

I want to be able to make certain documents more user friendly.

Also on the other side of the spectrum, which ones are _exceptionally bad_ to use?

@maloki The British Dyslexia Association recommends to use Arial, Comic Sans or, as alternatives to these, Verdana, Tahoma, Century Gothic, and Trebuchet [2]. (googled)
@elisa Thank you. I realize I could have googled as well.
Sometimes it's just nice to send out a question like this, and get user feedback as well. While I'm working on something else. :)

@elisa @maloki as a person with dyslexia I can tell that all these fonts are not helping. Whats special about real dyslexia fonts is the uneven shape of every letter. only the two fonts below fulfill these property https://www.dyslexiefont.com/en/dyslexie-font/

https://opendyslexic.org/

@seppini In google docs, there's one called Chelsea Market, does this have comparable functionality for you? :)
@maloki yes, that one is similar to the dyslexia fonts

@seppini and how's helvetica for you?

(this is what I really wanted btw, real user experiences to talk with, so thank you for replying! <3 )

@maloki I'm not exactly sure what the criteria for that would be, but if comic sans is, Comic Relief is a less ugly, better kerned replacement for it I tend to shill. (Seriously, it's almost became a gimmick at this point) https://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/comic-relief

@maloki Some good advice on which standard fonts to use here: https://bdatech.org/what-technology/typefaces-for-dyslexia/

There are also some fonts designed specifically to be dyslexic-friendly, e.g.

@maloki There is a font supposedly designed for people with dyslexia.

@maloki I'm using this https://opendyslexic.org/ and the better not open Font https://www.dyslexiefont.com/en/dyslexie-font/

My reading speed nearly doubled after using this special font. that is one of the reasons why I use E-Book reader like Kindle an Tolino

@dajbelshaw yes, thank you.
I had a lot of people respond with the same 2 links. heh.
@maloki Oh sorry, should have checked the thread first!
@dajbelshaw No one else is, so don't worry about it :D
@dajbelshaw @maloki This is the Internet, we don't read discussion threads before we express our expert opinion ☺️
@maloki I always have a lot of trouble with fonts that have narrow vertical lines, and any of the script fonts. But I don't know the names of any I have trouble with or that are particularly good, I tend to just not go places that use fonts I have trouble with.
@maloki i heard Lexia is good choice for that
@davidpgil Thank you. I did not find this in google docs, but I opted for helvetica neue for now. :)
@maloki there's an interesting thread about this question here ( if you can wade through nerds waving their Opinions at each other) https://ux.stackexchange.com/questions/72290/what-is-the-most-dyslexia-friendly-font/72300
