Lmao the bitcoin transaction backlog is not clearing. Cryptocurrencies huh
@Gargron surprised it took this long to happen tbh
@Gargron ah so that's why 1.3.3 added that bitcoin mining code
@Gargron well if you look at the speed new transactions are coming its understandable it's backlogged
@Gargron Yeah, whenever bitcoin is peaking like now, you have to bump the fee to get your transactions through. I did a transaction today with a decent fee, and it cleared in about 20 minutes. If segwit gets implemented, it will be a thing of the past.
@Gargron kinda is.. it was 100k yesterday...

@Gargron Oh, there will be more pains with them in time.

(pretty sure I forked the blockchain years ago by accident. . . OK more than pretty sure but I think I threw away the VM. . . maybe less sure about that).

Fuck the computational waste of time of all currencies, but ESPECIALLY cryptocurrencies.

@Gargron I got out for this reason, writing on the wall. There's been a 2 year argument over the block size, no meaningful movement, and a genuine clusterfuck of an alternative scaling strategy that relies on technology that doesn't exist yet.

Bitcoin was fine but people ruined it, as people are want to do

@Gargron Bitcoin sucks. Use ethereum.
