Dear Fellow Mastodons,

Please give me your honest opinions regarding your perception of what's being offered here.

Apparently I misunderstood the offer & was treated like an idiot when I questioned it. https://mastodon.network/media/7ZNaxMUd6E5nSSylZok https://mastodon.network/media/DeA-iPRoX-SBCmHwMF0 https://mastodon.network/media/iyGMMPZwo3TwX9E-_v4
#Offer #Deceptive #Confusing

@Euphoria I don't think it's worded very well. The actual sales page could be interpreted as spend $20 and get $40 credit PLUS a bunch of flowers like the ones in the picture.
They should have said 'get $40 credit so you can send a nicer bunch of flowers'

@clickybang
Thank you so much for your feedback!

Do you think the flowers are to be purchased right there at the BoingBoing site, or elsewhere?

@Euphoria From the screenshots it looked like BoingBoing - there was nothing to really suggest that it was elsewhere.
@clickybang
Thank you very much! I just wanted some confirmation that I'm not as stupid as the first feedback I received from "Support Heroes" suggested I was with "There should not be any misleading statements/ads because the title itself is clear that it is a $20 coupon code for $40 off of the vendor's site. Please see below for your reference:" which showed me instructions I had misinterpreted to mean I would be buying discounted flowers then & there
I wrote back explaining why I was confused
@Euphoria I think it's a $20 voucher for flowers being sold for $40?

@stolas
So one would get a $40 bouquet for $20?

Do you think the flowers are to be purchased right there at the BoingBoing site, or elsewhere?

@Euphoria whatever it is, don't do it

@saper
Alas, it's too late. The deal, which I misunderstood, was non-refundable and rather bewildering. Still, my mom should be receiving a lovely bouquet to let her know that I'm thinking about her, so it's all good in the end.

@Euphoria "should be delivering"? I'd rather double check. A website looks like a cheap knock-off of Interflora's offer, even the pics. And the name. I tend to think it's scam. I hope your mother gets flowers in the end.
@Euphoria go for interflora.co.uk, they've been in this business for a long time

@Euphoria
They should have been polite. There's no excuse for them being rude.

You've given me the hint that something didn't go the way you expected.

You can buy a coupon worth 40 dollars on the BoingBoing site. The coupon costs 20 dollars, and you can apply that coupon to a single purchase.

Of course, if you buy something that only costs 20 dollars, the coupon is not a bargain. Best value is achieved by buying something that costs $40 or more.

@seachanged
Do you already have other knowledge about this offer? If not, do you think the flowers are to be purchased right there at the BoingBoing site, or elsewhere?
