Continuing my thought/question to #Mastodev and #Mastotalk folks on redundancy in the Fediverse: If instances are hacked, or just fail, or owners just quit, tens to thousands of thousands of users on each instance Mastodon identities and social history are at risk, no? Is there - or shouldn't there be - some way that user info is not all on one single point of failure on each instance alone?
