People complaining about continued discussion of abuse: do you have ANY IDEA how much I want to be able to just talk about video games, funny pictures, and stupid jokes?

"Ignore it and it will go away" is a childish response born of the idea that abusers are trolls, who are fishing for a response and nothing more. Abusers are not trolls. Abusers are hatemongers. In many ways they don't CARE about the response from the victim; it's getting to spew their hate without punishment that's what they want.

And the only way to get them punished is to speak out about it. So that's what I have to do in order to get to the world I want to live in.

@CitySquirrel Nah, the abusers are the ones who keep the discussion going on. If the abusers stopped we'd have nothing to talk about!
