Is anyone else in this cafe actually into #coffee ? ☕

I got into coffee a few years ago, and I currently use a Kalita Wave to make a cup every day.

What do the other coffee enthusiasts here use?

@nullctrl I can't have caffeine, but I make my decaf with an aeropress. I also sniff other people's caffeinated coffee with great jealous huffs.
@nullctrl i love fooling around with coffee, i just use a stove-top percolator and a hand-grinder and experiment with how fine i grind the coffee/ how many coffee beans per cup
@nullctrl I drink quite a lot of coffee (5 cups a day), I do have a machine that uses whole beans (Saeco Intelia), and I sometimes change the type of beans and notice that the flavour is different, but that's about as far as my coffee insights go...

@nullctrl I use a #KalitaWave 155, a #HarioV60 - 03, a #Bodum #FrenchPress, an #Aeropress, & a #LaPavoni PRH for #espresso. I roast my own #coffee beans with a #QuestM3, and grind with either an #OrphanEspresso #Pharos or their #Lido 2.

What's your grinder, and what do you use for beans?

@nullctrl I'm not on creativity.cafe, but I could share what I use myself. For pour-over coffee: Hario V60 02. For automatic drip brew/coffeemaker: One-cup Moccamaster from Technivorm. French press can be fine too. For automatic grinding: Baratza Encore. Or a Hario Skerton for manual grinding. The beans I usually got from KAFFA in Norway. I prefer coffee from Colombia, Honduras, Panama, Costa Rica, Kenya, or Ethiopia. And I prefer the beans lightly roasted, Scandinavian style.
@nullctrl I also prefer washed coffee, or honey processed coffee, hand-picked from one farm/location. And organic coffee is optimal.

@nullctrl a four cup vario pour over. I used to be all about Aeropress but actually found it made too strong/bitter coffee.

Oh, and a cold brew system for mornings.

And a Nespresso for effort free espresso.

And a proper, plumbed in espresso bar at work.

I guess I'm spoiled for choice. Next obsession could be home roasting.

@insom @nullctrl I love coffee and experimenting with my limited equipment (being a hand grinder and a stove top percolator haha)
