If it's not already obvious, Mastodon's CW feature is really useful for setup/punchline. Which is interesting! because Twitter et. al., being mostly one-directional, discourages the query/response format of a typical joke, and instead encourages self-contained one-liners. And that's noticeable, too, in the evolving humor of the internet at large.
