@CharlotteJordaan Unfortunately not yet ^^' I'm in the same situation, lots of japanese users I don't understand... Keep in mind Mastodon is still in its early development phase, but with the exposure, lots of developers will work on it and add requested features. (hopefully!)

@ChrisHilo well, i read that there are all kinds of servers that you can log on to but now that i'm on mastodon.network, can i also log on to another server with this account? And how are they all connected to each other? Or is this all not as important as i interpreted it?

- You cannot log into your account on other instances (~servers). Your account is only created on mastodon.network. Think about it like email adresses. You can have CharlotteJordaan both on gmail and outlook or yahoo. Same here, you can create another account on mastodon.cloud (for ex.) with the same @.
- They are all connected through a protocol (OStatus).
- The instance is important if you care where your infos are stored. (reliability & privacy).
