v1.2 improves how domain blocks work, allowing admins to reject media caching on the server via the admin UI. At the same time, status metadata about presence of media attachments is no longer *broken* due to that option - instead, when there is no local cache, the remote media is linked directly (hotlinking)
Oh also PSA it is mentioned in release notes but you can put your CSS customizations into app/assets/stylesheets/custom.scss now and that file won't be overwritten by any future updates
@Gargron ooh, nice. this'll save me from a couple of merge conflicts
@Gargron any chance we could get the same sort of thing for localization files?
@Gargron small question regarding the subdomain change. I went through the PR communication and to my understanding I can enable LOCAL_DOMAIN without breaking my existing following/followers. Correct?
@Gargron thinking that might have helped @milan tonight?

@Gargron much needed. Thank you for your work! I need to sign up for your Patreon...

I have to say, #mastodon is one of the best organized projects I've ever seen.

@Gargron Any idea how easily it is deployed on scalingo?
@Gargron
@Andrew Andrew-Get in touch with me by direct message. Do you have a TLD already? I can help you get an instance going on Scalingo. Take care. Hoppy Easter!
