@peter I've been watching Space Patrol (1950), and I keep getting it mixed up with the british show from the 60s in my files.
Adding a german show with the same name to the mix sounds like the best move.
(But seriously, I bet this is gerat.)

@peter yep, with English subs! All 7 episodes. I also found a download for the raw video, and I can rip the subs from YouTube so I don't have to deal with YouTube.
