I really hope the cw-feature will be used by people not only for content they consider problematic, but also to give longer toots a headline. Seriously, if your toot is more than 250 chars, I really wish for some short info about the content.
Also this way we may be able to combine the density of birdsite (part of the addiction) while having space for discussion.

@nicolai Honestly, the root of this is who your intended audience is. I'm only connecting with certain people.. in this case message-length is of no concern, but for the sake of scrolling though a Local Timeline you make a point, however I read your OP using the [ show more ] button, so this is already covered, therefore, you should just realize that entering a Local Timeline exposes your to questionable content.. and don't interact with it unless you KNOW it's worth it to you - preference.
