Vivaldi energy usage on the Mac looks better than Chrome, so far. https://mastodon.network/media/_K5k1VbtyyVCegESzmg
@leo I've been using Vivaldi for a few months and like it, though it spins out occasionally. Just installed Brave to compare as well.
@seanbonner @leo I've loved #Brave for quite some time. I keep Chrome as a back-up option but I need to go back to it less and less through the days. One big blocker was U2F keys but I don't think I have that issue anymore either.
@butlermatt @seanbonner You had me at built-in Lastpass support and ad blocking. Brave isn't as pretty as Vivaldi, but it does the job.

@leo @seanbonner Personally I don't want pretty I want minimal and out of the way.

I really love the "lazy loading" for tabs. I tend to keep several tabs open at all times. When I first open brave it won't actually load those tabs if I I don't access them. Keeps memory footprint down (one of a pinned Google Music tab for instance that I don't always want to use)

@butlermatt @seanbonner It really is butt ugly though. Sigh. Let me see if I can theme it.

I don't know. I really don't find it _that_ ugly.

@butlermatt @seanbonner That's the ONE attractive page. It really feels like an engineer built it. Oh wait.
@leo @seanbonner Hahah but that's generally the only page I see. I don't even look at the bookmarks, instead just getting them from the address bar typing in a few characters.
