So much to do so impossible for a single non-self-replicating biological life-form to do it all!

This is another reason we need reliable AIs.

Cortana! Please tidy up my house while I sit here on my growing bottom watching words fly across a screen in various columns & try to reply in witty ways!

Lavadora! Please pick up my dirty laundry, sort it, shove it into your belly, wash it, dry it, fold it or hang it up and put it away as appropriate!

@Euphoria I've thought about what instructions an automatic laundry sorter would use. Lots of exceptions for new, color, materials... :)
I can't tell you how much I love it that you've contemplated this sort of thing, @i70dan . What you say is very true, but in the end it's just a matter of programming, isn't it? I mean, how much worse of an error is an automated laundry sorter going to make than humans make?
@Euphoria what I might pay money for would be something to tell black clothes from blue clothes in the pre-dawn darkness. A Reveal bulb in a box might stop embarrassing black pants and blue socks
@i70dan You could just presort the stuff, keeping blue socks with blue pants and black socks with black pants. :shrug_tone3: Heck, it's hard enough even /with/ light sometimes to match the same shade of black to other blacks and blues with blues, ya know? I would think that a computer would actually be able to shine a light on things and ascertain, without a doubt, what it's programmed to put together.
@Euphoria should be. Wonder if you have to recalibrate the sensor every time you changed the light bulb. :)
@i70dan Hey, with the right kind of bulb in there that would be very seldom!
