I'm learning Japanese (slowly) and I'm having a major problem with 上げる vs 上がる and it's driving me up the wall >.<

@dattmay It's just like "raise" and "rise". In fact, many Japanese students struggle them, too!

@nullkal I'm glad I'm not alone! I'm having problems with telling them apart and pronouncing them correctly and it is driving me mad!

Just like 大きい and 大きさ, but those two aren't quite as frustrating.
